SoloFluency FAQ covers the questions we answer most often about pricing, diagnostics, practice flow, privacy, billing, and account management.
If you do not see your question here, check Pricing for plan details or contact us on Contact.
Can I view pricing before I create an account?
Yes. Pricing is fully public and you can compare plans before signing up.
Do I need to take a diagnostic before subscribing?
No. You can subscribe first. Diagnostic is recommended because it improves personalization quality.
What makes SoloFluency different from other IELTS apps?
SoloFluency uses a closed-loop engine: diagnose precisely, target one micro-skill, train in exam-true format, then verify on fresh material with evidence-backed scoring.
Is SoloFluency "unlimited"?
No. Plans are usage-based with server-enforced limits. This keeps performance stable and prevents abuse, while still allowing overage packs for high-intensity periods.
What are overage packs?
Overage packs add extra quota (for example, speaking minutes or micro-practice generations) for the current billing period after you use your base plan limits.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. Upgrades are typically immediate and downgrades are applied at the end of the billing period (depending on Stripe portal settings).
How is progress measured?
Progress is measured with rubric-locked scoring and evidence-backed feedback across fresh practice.
Does SoloFluency guarantee a specific band score?
No. We focus on verified skill improvement and exam-true practice, but outcomes still depend on your effort and real test-day conditions.
How does speaking practice work?
Speaking practice uses an audio-first workflow designed for IELTS speaking parts. High-stakes modes prioritize timestamped evidence; transcripts are optional and secondary.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel from the billing portal. Access typically continues until the end of the current billing period.
Do you support refunds?
Refund eligibility depends on timing and usage. Please review the Refund Policy for details.
How do you handle privacy and data retention?
We minimize personal data and store what is needed for learning evidence and audit. Review the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for specifics.
What if I forget my password?
Use the "Forgot password" flow to request a reset link. You can also verify your email code if sign-in is blocked by verification status.
